WEINHOLDMANIA REACHES A FEVER PITCH!!!

READY FOR SOME MONSTROUSLY BIG NEWS?!!!

MONSTER PARTY IS NOW OFFICIALLY PART OF THE FANGORIA PODCAST NETWORK!!!

My friends James Gonis, Shawn Sheridan, Larry Strothe and myself attend Comic Con every year and at some point we'd end up in one of our hotel rooms, drinking and arguing about nerd stuff. We'd have so much fun that we decided to turn our inebriated debates into a podcast called...MONSTER PARTY! Now we have joined forces with one of the best loved and respected horror institutions, FANGORIA as part of their newly launched FANGORIA PODCAST NETWORK! Our debut episode as part of this historic partnership features a two hour interview with the man who brought us such genre classics as THE BEAST WITHIN, PSYCHO II, CLOAK AND DAGGER, FRIGHT NIGHT, CLASS OF 1984, CHILD'S PLAY, THINNER, and many more! Yes it's acclaimed writer/director TOM HOLLAND! If you need a reason to listen to this already classic episode, here's an article that'll give you at least five! Check it out at http://www.fangoria.com/new/fangoria-podcast-network-5-things-i-learned-from-tom-hollands-monster-party-appearance/

AND FOR THOSE NEW TO MONSTER PARTY, LISTEN TO OUR VAST LIBRARY OF PREVIOUS EPISODES! C'MON, IT'S FREE!

Past guests include such nerd friendly talent as Dana Gould, Bobby Slayton, Rick Overton, Jackie Kashian, Stuart Gordon, Doug Jones, Dean Haglund, Sue Murphy, Playmates of the Year Raquel Pomplun and Dani Mathers, Doug Jones, C. Courtney Joyner, and more! The MONSTER PARTY is at your window. Why click these links and invite it in?

My comedy CD MATT WEINHOLD "DEAD FUNNY"is available for purchase! The CD was recorded at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco and has a delightful selection of my greatest and darkest hits. For a look at the cover art (and lots of great photography from super photo genius Susan Maljan http://www.lpb.com/maljan/ ), go to the photo section of this site. It's really frickin' awesome! It makes a great gift and an even better re-gift. Go to the buy "Buy My CD" and follow the instructions or click here to: http://cdbaby.com/cd/mattweinhold You'll be reasonably pleased you did!

Oh, and if you'd like to see a very nice review of my new CD by acclaimed writer/reviewer Bill Holmes, please click here to: http://drbristol.wordpress.com/2009/03/18/stand-up-witmatt-weinhold . If this doesn't convince you to buy it, you most certainly should have your funny bone looked at by a professional.

WEINHOLD AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!!!

As many already know, over the years I've been doing movie reviews in my column "Fan In Your Face" on the website www.ComedyFilm Nerds.com The site was created by my friends (and excellent comedians) Chris Mancini and Graham Elwood, and gives you what's missing from most movie reviews...taste, passion, and some laughs! Well now we've done the impossible by taking those words on your computer screen and printing them on this substance called paper.

Now available is the new book THE COMEDY FILM NERDS GUIDE TO MOVIES featuring all your favorite comedian reviewers including Dean Haglund, Allan Havey, Jackie Kashian, Mike Schmidt, Doug Benson, Laura House, Lord Carrett, Neil T. Weakley, Dave Anthony, Doug Benson, Suzy Nakamura, Greg Proops, Chris Mancini, Graham Elwood, and myself. I wrote the chapter on horror films due to my lifelong love for genre and the fact that my heart is filled with blackness. The book is available, along with my CD "Dead Funny" and a lot of other great comedy merchandise at: http://www.comedyfilmnerds.com

NERD DREAMS THAT CAME TRUE!!!

My writing partner John Matta and I wrote two episodes (Instinct and Doppelganger) for the critically acclaimed animated TV show BEWARE THE BATMAN!If you missed it when it aired on Cartoon Network(and there's a very good chance you did), the entire series is now available on DVD, Blu-ray, by download, and projected as a loop on the side of my house. Please give it a look. It's great series that frankly, didn't get it's due.

I also wrote a story for the long running horror comic book CREEPY (currently published by Dark Horse Comics) with art by superstar illustrator/brother-in-law/busom buddy Darick Robertson, (Transmetropolitan, Wolverine, The Boys) that's guaranteed to tickle your fear bone. It's part of Creepy #10's salute to horror writing legend H.P. Lovecraft and involves creatures from another dimension and some obsessive action figure collectors. Just a typical day for me. Since it's single issue release, this story has now been collected in the Creepy trade paperback, "The Lurking Fate". Get it online at http://www.darkhorse.com/Comics/20-303/Creepy-Comics-10 or at a comic book store near you! And if you're in the Los Angeles area, why not try GOLDEN APPLE COMICS, located at 7018 Melrose Ave. , Los Angeles,CA, 90038. For more info, go to http://www.goldenapplecomics.com

For who like their entertainment a little racier (wait, I think that's me), take a look at FIT TO BE TIED , created by my pal Sirena Irwin and myself and featuring many guest stars including Oscar Nunez (The Office), Doug Jones (Hellyboy), Dave Higgins (Malcolm In The Middle) Dana Gould (The Simpsons), and many more! It's a sitcom that takes place in an S&M dungeon and I'm pretty sure that's a first.

SUPPORT MY PALS!!!

BOB AND TOM FANS! I just wanted put a special shout out to BOB KEVOIAN, TOM GRISWOLD, and P.J. YINGER for helping me finish my CD! They're super great guys and I literally could not have done it without them.

Do yourself a favor and check out THE BOB & TOM SHOW website at http://www.bobandtom.com. I command you!

Hey fans of DANA GOULD! I'm a regular guest on Dana's always entertaining podcast and if you haven't heard this show yet...make it so. Dana is an excellent moderator and hilarious storyteller and always delves into less traveled subject matter. And let's not for get a truly great variety of guests that include Eddie Peppitone, Rob Cohen, Ken Day, G. Charles Wright, and many others! Give it a listen at http://danagould.com/podcasts/

In a similar vein, I also a guest on my good friend JACKIE KASHIAN's podcast THE DORK FOREST. I'm sure you've seen how hilarious Jackie's standup is on numerous TV shows, including her Comedy Central special. We survived several weeks on the road together and frankly, I can not say enough nice things about her. A semi-regular guest host on the show is another hilarious comic and good friend of mine, Jennifer MacLean. Jennifer was one of the first genuinely nice people I met in Los Angeles and again, I cannot say enough nice things about her. The show itself is a delightful exploration into all the nerdy things I enjoy and if you don't listen to it...HULK WILL SMASH!!!! Go to: http://http://www.jackiekashian.com/

My good buddy and fellow "Beware The Batman" collaborator, John Matta was a great website! Every day he draws a cartoon on napkin, posts them, and I swear, genuine hilarity always ensues. He even has guest celebrities doing napkin cartoons including stars like (name of favorite celebrity, name of not so favorite celebrity, name of that fucking guy you hate.) and many more. Just click on these magical words and the cartoon on a napkin shit starts gettin' real!

Another great show you need to, as the kids say "get hip to" is COOPER TALK,hosted by comedian and interviewer extraordinaire SCOTT COOPER. Scott bills himself "Only as hip a his guests" and chats with comedians and comedy writers about the biz. spends an hour with them for some organic chat about the funny biz! Give it a listen at:http://coopertalk.podbean.com/feed/
